Noor Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Noor mobile application. By using Noor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.

Independent application

Noor is an independent application. It is not an official application of Quran Foundation, Quran.com, QuranReflect, MP3Quran, QuranEnc, HadeethEnc, Ummah API, Tanzil Project, Al Quran Cloud, IslamHouse, Google, Cloudflare, or any reciter, translator, or publisher identified in the application.

Purpose and religious information

Noor provides Quran reading and recitation, translations, prayer-time calculations, Qibla direction, hadith, and duas for personal informational and devotional use. Translations are interpretations of the meanings of the Quran and are not the Arabic Quran itself.

Prayer times and Qibla direction are calculated estimates and may vary by location, convention, device sensors, and local religious authority. Verify important religious decisions with a trusted local scholar or mosque. Noor does not provide legal, medical, financial, or professional religious rulings.

Acceptable use

You may use Noor for lawful personal purposes. You must not misuse the application or its services, attempt to bypass security or rate limits, extract credentials, interfere with service operation, or use Quranic content in a misleading, hateful, extremist, unlawful, or disrespectful context.

Content and third-party rights

Quran text, translations, recitations, hadith, duas, fonts, software libraries, names, and trademarks remain subject to the rights and terms of their respective providers and authors. Noor displays source and attribution information in the application. You may not assume that Noor grants you a separate right to redistribute third-party content.

Read-along timing is accessed through Noor's server-side proxy and Quran Foundation APIs. Quran Foundation content must not be altered, resold, sublicensed, or redistributed outside the integrated end-user experience. Quran.Foundation credentials and access tokens are confidential and are not provided to users.

Availability and changes

Online features depend on third-party services and may be limited, changed, interrupted, or removed. Noor may update the application, supported sources, or these Terms to maintain security, accuracy, legal compliance, and service compatibility. The current effective date appears at the top of this page.

No warranty

Noor is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. Although care is taken with Quranic content and calculations, uninterrupted operation, completeness, and error-free results cannot be guaranteed.

Privacy

Noor's handling of local data, location, analytics, diagnostics, and online services is described in the Privacy Policy.
